Syed Tabasum (Madam) was born and brought up in a small village of Kunzer Block, Baramulla District, Kashmir. From a young age, she carried a strong desire to do something meaningful and different, guided by a deep sense of responsibility towards society. This vision gradually drew her towards the tourism sector, not merely as a profession, but as a purpose.
After completing her postgraduate degree in Library Science, Tabasum chose an unconventional path and transformed herself into a tourism entrepreneur. While Kashmir’s breathtaking natural beauty is already celebrated across the globe, her true mission lies in reviving and promoting the region’s rich cultural heritage and forgotten traditions, ensuring they reach a global audience. Through responsible and communitynbased tourism, she strives to create sustainable economic opportunities for Kashmiri villages.
For Tabasum, tourism is not just a means of earning; it is a powerful tool to showcase Kashmir’s cultural and natural heritage with authenticity and respect. She believes that true travel experiences emerge when visitors connect with local communities, traditions, and landscapes.
Each itinerary curated by Tabasum reflects her deep-rooted knowledge, personal involvement, and soulful connection with Kashmir. This dedication allows travelers to experience the region in its truest form beyond conventional sightseeing creating meaningful connections with the land, its people, and its stories.
